These memories written my Senior year

Trip to Charleston Memories!

I remember this time that a bunch of girls went to Charleston without their fiances, and a bunch of guys went to also without their fiances, except none of the guys had fiances. And then some other girls went too. It was Shannon, Becky, Jen, Chris Lack, myself, Wayne Shealy, Ross Duncan, Billy, Bonnie, Jess, Katie, and Allison, in that order according to the aforementioned rules. Anyway, not everybody was there at the same time, although actually everyone was there at the same time at one point.

good times

I remember this time that a car carrying Katie, Ross, Becky, Shannon, Jen and Jess was involved in a 4 car accident. Then Becky yelled "Get out of the car!" and everyone got out, and the rest of us got out of Bonnie's car which was stopped safely behind. Jen had a bloody nose, but it looked worse because blood had gotten on her arms and legs. She looked like an authentic accident victim. Ross had a broken finger. Shannon had some sort of shoulder injury, just in time for her wedding. Then about 21 emergency vehicles showed up at the scene, and all of the paramedics and officers started asking the same questions, over and over. A wrecker came and took away Katie's car. The airbags had deployed and everything. Then using Bonnie's car and one police car, we finally got everybody to the hospital who needed to go. The "plan" involved Wayne and I, as displaced passengers, walking down the highway until we got to the first store on the right. There was no such store, but after about 25 minutes Billy found us again and picked us up. Then we got to the hospital where we got to share anecdotes, such as the time Billy used nasal spray instead of contact solution. And how they didn't unstrap Katie when they were trying to move her off of the gurney (we actually didn't hear that one until later.) Oh yeah also at some point some of us stopped by the house to meet with Chris Lack, who had been waiting there for two and a half hours. But amazingly he knew that there had been an accident because he had a dream in which Jess informed him of such. THEN is when we went to the hospital, with enough cars to pick everybody up. Then we all decided it was time to go eat, with Jen still wearing the bloody shirt and everything. So we tried to go to Fazoli's, but we got separated, so some of us ate Chinese. Then came all the insurance calls.

times

I remember this time that I taught everybody "diver duck," and so we did that several times. Katie even had to walk around and quack on the beach.

Diver duck! (under!)

I remember this time that seven of us played charades. We acted out movie titles. For about 2 hours. Good times were had by all. Oh yeah and before that we played psychiatrist, and we tried to be our "Bizarro" selves once (a term loosely defined by Katie) but it didn't work out so great.

good times

I remember this time that we watched "A Different World," but it was "To be continued..."

I remember this time Becky mowed the lawn

I remember this time we went crabbing. We bought some chicken necks and tied them onto strings, and threw them in the river. Then the crabs started pouring in. It was fairly easy, we caught probably 20 of which we kept 6 prime ones. These were prime enough to cook, which we tried to do that night. But it took 45 minutes for the water to even begin to boil, and then once we put in the first crab, it stopped boiling. So we let them go for about 20 minutes and then broke them apart. Chris Lack tried some of the meat and promptly ran outside, because it wasn't fully cooked. So we took all the crab parts and dumped them back into the river, as a warning to the crabs. A warning that we have no idea what we're doing.

good times

I remember this time somebody said something ambiguous in front of me. I think it was about somebody who liked somebody else. Then everyone acts really surprised when I don't know the latest be-bop, like Jack and Jill have been dating for 2 months, or Harry and Sally are engaged. Nobody told me, geniuses.

PEOPLE nowadays.

Then there was the time that I called a bunch of people to see if anyone wanted to go eat, including Darren, who said he and Ashley were going on a date. So just David McMahan and I went. We went to Cracker Barrel, and Darren and Ashley showed up there. The rest writes itself, just like a song in sonata-rondo form.

good times

I remember this time that I just laughed and laughed at Cameron, because his major required him to make P.E. equipment out of pantihose and to color in maps. I forgot at these times that much of my college career had been spent trying to get curly braces to line up nicely

{

  {
    {

etc.

I remember this time that a girl named Jennifer would come over and visit Harvey a lot. She had a noticeable southern accent, much more than Harvey. We had a poster for Seven Years in Tibet on our wall, and one day she said to Harvey, "Oh, is that that Seven Years in TIE-BET?" I probably should have made an effort to get to know Jennifer better, but instead I just repeated her quote a lot when Cliver was around, so that he would laugh.

good times

I remember this time that some of us were playing 4 square, and then this girl named Laurie Gambrell walked by but wouldn't play, and then John Cliver did the same thing (although we didn't invite him to play.) Gary Kirby came in for one round and soon lost. Things quickly degenerated from this point.

good times

Submitted by Craig Stevens

I remember this time when Trudi and I were on Kev's farewell radio show at WSBF. During the songs he kept asking us if we had any good jokes or lines or anything, and of course, neither of us could think of one. But after the show was over, I was walking to class when I thought, hey, if you put our names together it would be "Kevin Eudy Trudi Craigie Craig Stevens." I thought that was kind of funny, but I guess it was too late then. Oh well. Had fun anyway.

jammin' times.

"I mean..."

I remember this time that Jenni Krider asked me, "You're a computer science major right?" and proceeded to explain how the metal part of a floppy disk had come off in the disk drive of her lap top, and she couldn't get it out. She thought something might need to be unscrewed. But I proceeded to hold the disk drive door open with a pen and just shook the lap top some until it came out.

good times

Submitted by Kyle Brown

I remember this time that a bunch of people played the game Brainiac in Lightsy Bridge 43D. Trudi had to draw and get her team to guess "Flying Buttress." She proceeded to draw a stick figure that accentuated the hind parts of a person. I think everyone on her team knew the word she wanted them to say, but were afraid to say it. As one can imagine, there was much laughter and elation over the event. I'd also like to add that myself, Kevin, Cameron, and Chris Lack won that game by a hefty margin.

I remember this time that Chris Lack, Jenni Krider and I played speed Scrabble, and then got addicted and kept playing until 2:45 a.m. on Easter morning. Then later on Easter, we played some more. A few other people played it too, and even beat us, but none were as consumed as we.

good times

I remember this time that Bonnie Apgar got an email from a man named Benny Anbar

good times

I remember this time that Kristen C. Baker and some other girl I don't remember (Meredith?) sang for the Crusade band. Then Shelley started singing for them, and then Courtney, Sage Bigger, Shannon Cooke, Ashley Jackson, and Lindsay Ragsdale started rotating in and out. I think I even saw Allison Hennessey and possibly Lisa Coward up there once or twice. I hear that Patty Webb made a guest appearance. And now if I'm not mistaken that's Melissa Merkel up there. And Jason Finley, T.L., and Jeff Jowers have all played the bass in my time here, and perhaps even Kevin Ong a couple times. Guitar players have included but have not been limited to Matt Reeves, Darren Lord, Kevin Sheehan, John Cliver, and Curt Turner. Chad Tidd eventually passed his sticks on to Tyler Kenney, and even I have been up there to play percussion a couple times. Rich Ramsey was added last year for flavor. Meanwhile, Kyle Brown played electric guitar through all of this.

good times

I remember this time that I would rebuke drumline members with this line: "There's no I in DRUMLINE." It's funny 'cause there is. Then the next year or so, people started saying a variant of this: "There's no I in TEAM, but there's an I in DRUMLINE." It bugged me because everybody acted like it was a new creation. I was too humble though, until now, to try to claim any credit for the line.

Big Break 2001 Memories!

I remember this time that various guys took various girls for walks on the beach. I mean, come on, you gotta have your Big Break hook-ups.

good times

I remember this time that I had a Balderdash game that sat in the room for a good 9 months, until one night right before Big Break while I wasn't home, a bunch of people played it. Then at Big Break about 4 different people came up to me and asked, "Did you bring Balderdash?" No, I did not. Nobody showed interest in it for 9 months. "It's a great game," they'd say. "We might go to buy it while we're here." And they went to the store and looked but didn't find it. I mean, how could I predict this?

good times

I remember this time that I rode down with Chris Lack and he ate sunflower seeds most of the way down, and the ENTIRE way back. And also with us was Kathy Morgan and Haley Leonhardt (had to look that one up) and we talked about many things including but not limited to every single discussion question on the sheet they gave us

good times

I remember this time I met some new people, such as Robbie what's-his-face, and Adam, the guy from Tennessee who doesn't go to our school, and Nikki, who's from Wisconsin and also doesn't go to our school. And also I met Kari Bolt's friend, what's-her-name. I think that one of the greatest things about Big Break is the close friendships you form.

good times

Submitted by Robbie Gouge

i remember the time when we had a phone call tally sheet in our room at big break, and i was tied with denton and ben, but eudy had pity on me, so he called me 3 times that night, once about his jacket that he thought he left, which of course he didnt leave, and then another time when he said he had a call on the other line and he had to call me back. i dont even think we had call waiting. then he called me back again for something else, i dont remember what. or maybe he didnt, maybe he just called me twice. but anyways, he gave me the lead on the tally sheet. this was a big deal.

then there was the time a drunk guy was in our room, but i wasnt there, cuz i was in the hot tub, probably talkng to some hot girl, so you might want to ask denton about that one. yeah, im pretty sure the girl was hot.

Now 3 accounts of the same event! Akin to the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, except it's not about the life of Jesus

According to Rich Ramsey

i remember the time we were sitting in our room at big break and kevin eudy had stepped out for a bit. so we took the opportunity to write a song about kevin eudy and his booty. the song had some other words but none of them were nearly as noteworthy as "its a song about kevin eudy and his booty." he walked in while we were singing the chorus. i think he was very appreciative.

According to Allison Hennessey

I remember this time when Kyle, Rich, Darren, Craig, Melissa Merkel, Sara Turner and I sat around in the guys' condo composing the "Song about This and That" song. (I don't know if that's the title they would use, but it's the one I'm giving it.) After that, we composed "The Kevin Eudy Song," whose chorus went like this:
It's all about Kevin Eudy and his booty
He likes to drum
It's all about Kevin Eudy and his booty
He likes to hum
Sucking his thumb

good times

And then you [Kevin] came in at just the right time, so we sang that chorus for you, and you had the greatest look of disgust on your face, and I was worried for a minute that we had actually offended you, but when you came back in laughing, I realized you liked it.

even better times

According to Kyle Brown, with some bonus material

When I look back at Big Break 2001, I think I will remember 3 songs: "A song about how we feel," "The Kevin Eudy song", and of course "Just to be the next to encourage you." I'll never forget the look on your face when we sang "It's all about Kevin Eudy and his booty. He likes to play his drum, drum, drum. It's all about Kevin Eudy and his booty. He likes to hum, hum, hum....suckin' his thumb."

Also: was it just me, or did there seem to be a wrestling theme to Big Break 2001???

One more: If your ever at a Campus Crusade Conference, and you sit next to Kevin Eudy at one of the main sessions.....plan on buying the tape of that session....

More from me on the wrestling theme: I can see what Kyle's saying because there was this time after our campus picture that everyone stood in a circle and started yelling, "Fight! Fight! Fight!" So when I went over and looked in the middle of the circle I saw Mandy Hammon and Heather Koestline there wrestling. Then a bunch of other people wrestled. Honestly this is the only time I remember wrestling the entire week.

But I do remember this other time that 5 of us were in the room, and the guys decided to see if any of us could do 50 push-ups in a row. So Craig went first and he came close, but stopped in the 40's. Kyle also went and did 26, and Rich went and made 50 and maybe beyond. Then Darren went, but he didn't do many because he started laughing. I declined to participate in any fashion other than running my mouth. I suggested we do the same thing the next night at dinner with the girls, to show them the kind of things we do when they're not around

good times

More from Rich Ramsey

i remember the time darren, kyle and i were in a pillow fight. i was pummeling darren in the bedroom and kyle had run to the other room to get more pillows. when kyle came back in the room with his fresh pillows, he gave me a few good wacks upside the head, then in haste to escape my wrath, turned and ran face first into the door that had swung shut behind him. there followed a break in the pillow fight for general laughter and mirth at kyle's misfortune.

Submitted by Jeff Jowers

I remember one time at Breakers in Panama City, Eudy kept telling me to go dance with a girl. Eventually I did and he said he was proud. Then I told him it was her idea so he took it back.

Good times

Submitted by Allison Hennessey

I remember how when we were spelling out CLEMSON in the sand for our group picture, we did all sorts of fun cheers and songs and sang Tiger Rag and did the wave. I also remember that I got the spelling out of C-L-E-M-S-O-N started by getting the people in the M to yell out "M!" so really we spelled out M-S-O-N-C-L-E.

good times

I remember this time that you told the Snickers story outside the maze place, and I laughed really hard, and it was one of the highlights of my week.

good times

I remember when Darren took over the mic and guitar at Breaker's restaurant and sang "It Is Well With My Soul" for Joey Webster's birthday, and the whole restaurant went silent and listened.

awesome times

I remember how the emcee wouldn't stop doing the stupid "manamana" thing.

not so good times

I remember when I was hanging out in your [Kevin's] condo, and you and Cliver and Denton showed up and started some "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" games, and there was much laughter and audience participation, and when Denton was doing the sound effects game, Cliver made it sound like I was purring like a cat.

good times

I remember how practically everyone on Big Break (who knew me) started calling me mom. Some of them had been calling me that for some time and just continued the pattern.

good times

I remember when we went to Krispy Kreme and as we watched the line making the doughnuts, we related it to the birthing process, from start to finish.

good times

I remember how you and Chris decided to take on the roles of the good and bad sides of my conscience, debating back and forth between each other about whether I should go to a praise and worship time the night before we left. I got very confused.

good times

I remember how Kyle entertained us with his Wal-Mart greeter story.

always good times

And for your further Big Break 2001 edification, both of the girls in the praise band are named Kristen, although I don't know if either of them actually spells it that way.

From the desk of Jonathan Denton

I remember this time that Cliver and I were wrapping my Jeep in aluminum foil to make it into a space shuttle, and a guy and girl walked by and I said "Hey, do you know who's Jeep this is?"

good times

I remember this time that me and my roomates (cliver, c-love, jamie, gouge, ben) made up this game and when ever you said a certain word you had to run and put your head under the covers (one person per bed) and the last person to say under had to quack ten times - DIVER DUCK

under

i remember this time that i was video taping amy and ashley riding some crazy ride and when the ride came towards me i spun around and made it look like i got hit. Then somebody asked me "Denton, did you just get hit"

good times

Befor that, i told ashley that clack told me a bolt had came loose while he was riding it. she was scared. i can prove it, its on video

good times

I remember this time that eudy, cliver, and me played who's line is it anyway

all the time

I remember talking to this one guy about Christ and prayed with him for the first time and everytime i told that story to a girl, she went "ahhhh"

great times

Another from Kyle Brown

I remember when Craig Stevens was in the hot tub and some guy asked him if he had any pot. Craig of course said that he did not, to which this guy responded, after a moment of reflection, "Dude, look at you! There's no way you don't have any pot right now!"

good times

One from first-time nostalgist Iowa Hausman

I remember this time when we were all at Big Break and the weather was just awful. It was cold and rainy almost every day we were there. Luckily, the last day we were there it was hot and sunny. Everyone decided to take advantage of the rays but unfortunately the majority of the group wound up with painful sunburns while those with fair skin seemed to be untouched by the sun. Imagine that??? Needless to say, those that got burned had a pretty miserable drive back to Clemson. Thank God forr sunscrean!!!

From the illustrious Heather Koestline

I remember this time when we played hot potato in Denton and Cliver's room with about 10 people, and Kevin did sound effects in the background. I have never had so much fun playing a preschool game. It was really competitive!

I remember this time when Amy Chasteen barked (quite loudly) out of her car at a dog, and it ran inside.

I remember this time after we had taken the Clemson photo when I was suddenly thrown to the ground by two freshmen ladies. Then, Miss Mandy Hammon joined in the malicious act, and everyone began to encircle us. Let me tell you, it was quite embarrassing. When the whole chanting thing started, I knew it was all over! I couldn't get out of that one gracefully. Glad to know we started a "theme" for the week.

From Chris "Jim Bob" "C-Love" Smith

I remember this one time when Eudy, Denton, Cliver, Jamie, Mandy, and myself were sitting in our condo at Big Break. We were laughing and cutting up, just having a grand ole time when we had an unexpected visitor. A not-so-sober friend of ours decided to drop by and fill us in on the secrets of the universe. WOOOOOOOOO.

Drunken Times

I remember the time when we were coming back from night outreach and Allison decided to drive into on-coming traffic. We all pretended to be really scared, but really it was one of the most exciting times I had all week.

More fun than scary times.

C-Love: "Were you there when Emily Sue hit the game winning home run in the 1996 softball championship on Nantucket Island?"
Eudy: "You keep up with softball too?"
C-Love: "I give up!"

Whose Line is it Anyways Times

I remember the time when I took Eudy's plastic sword and tried to get a chant going, but only about half the room helped me.

Men's Time

I remember good speakers, great discussions, and one really moving personal talk with God.

"Not-so-Quiet" Times

I remember playing back-up guitar for Cliver and Denton as Eudy beat out a nice rhythm on the drum and Mandy sang a sweet song of praise to the Lord.

Special Times

Another from Jonathan Denton

I remember this time that we went to a nice restaurant called breakers and nobody told me and cliver to dress up, so we wore shorts and hawaiian shirts. Later, Mark Sartain and i went outside to fix a car and we imagined that everyone inside was like "Where's Denton and Sartain? Oh, they are outside of this fancy, high-society restaurant in their undershirts duct taping a car and wiping gasoline and grease off their hands!"

good 'ole boys

I remember seeing these girls dressed up beside the pool and I went and pushed them in.

didn't happen but shube said it would have been a hilarious time

I remember this time that Cliver and I sat outside of Eudy's room in our cowboy hats and cliver had a gun and i whittled with the nail file on a knife instead of the blade and cliver and i sat and talked about the funniest things in cowboy accents: chili, cows, how the world has changed. Nobody heard us but Eudy even though there was a mob of people above us, and he laughed for the longest time. Man, it took a long time to whittle with a nail file.

good times

Submitted by Bonnie Apgar

I remember this time on Big Break that Kevin's room (including Darren, Rich, Todd, Kyle and Craig) had to cook dinner for my room (me, Carrie Lampson, Leigh Hix, Michelle Kittrell, and Kathy Morgan). They decided to put on a puppet show for us using sock puppets they had made. Each sock puppet represented one person at the dinner. The show was extremely amusing and included a bad guy named Roger who was played by an oven mitt with sunglasses. The skit also had a talking tree. The guys also had the misfortune of pronouncing Michelle's last name wrong so that it would rhyme with belle. She didn't like that, but it all turned out ok. The food was yummy and we all had an enjoyable time. We did have to come back after the meeting to eat the cake though, because it wasn't quite ready after dinner. But when we did get to eat it, it was also yummy.

More from me: I remember this time I called Heather the first day there and pretended to be a staff person from the registration table. I was just going to tell her the packet she picked up was defective. But then I found out she hadn't registered, she had come late and the door was locked. So I told her there was a reason the door was locked, and she needed to leave the conference. If she had believed me up to this point she didn't anymore because she heard people laughing in the background. She hung up on me a couple times after that but I later found out she wasn't mad, so I was relieved

good times

Remember the bouncy balls with the lights in them???? good times

I remember Chris, Kathy, Haley and I discussing for about 10 minutes what constitutes a "date," as opposed to just your average outing. We put some complex standards into place, and applying these standards, I determined that Haley and I were on a date when we all stopped at Wendy's and everybody got up to use the bathroom except us

good times

I remember this time that practically everybody on Big Break, except me, was in one room. Then when I decided to go over there, I saw that security was at the door. Then everybody left, and I went in.

good times

Submitted by David E. McMahan

Hey, you remember that time when Cliver did something random, and none of us could stop laughing?

Good.........wait....FREQUENT.......times!

Remember that time when Cliver drove on a sidewalk, facing traffic in front of McDonald's, and we spent a huge amount of time looking for the PERFECT movie to rent, and we ended up watching the Fugitive (and not a Muppet movie, although that did come the next night) with Patty and Laurie, and we tried to think of names for Jenny's "Learning Center," and then we entertained ourselves endlessly by using our insanity and an alphabet poster?

Messed up--but Good--Times!

Remember that time that Patty Webb was playing "Hey Cow" (The game where you yell "Hey Cow!" from a car window to try to get a cow to look at you) but she didn't know you were supposed to yell it at a cow, so she yelled it at a person? I wasn't there but nevertheless

good times

Remember that time that that guy went out with that girl? And then they broke up, and she eventually went out with somebody else, or maybe he did or they both did? And so it goes until the day you die

this thing called love is going to make you cry.....

...i hate you. Remember that time that Cameron played Sean Connery for a skit at Crusade and it was oh so good? And the speaker said he could have listened to that voice all night? But instead we listened to the speaker's voice all night.

just kidding. Remember that time that we had a praise and worship thingy over at Darren's place? And about 5 people played guitar to varying extents. And me and Cliver banged on pots and bowls and such. Then about a year later we did the same thing.

thems was good times

I remember this time that about 20 of us went to Bonnie's house, and I don't remember much except that we played a bunch of games, and Bonnie's parents had much food there for us. And then some of us watched The Princess Bride, but some of us didn't. Brendan did.

good times. I remember this time that Heather Koestline told me after Crusade that she had typed her name into a search engine, and the only match that showed up was THIS page, with some lame story about her and drumheads. I was amazed because I didn't know this page showed up on search engines! But now that I know of my power, I can throw people off who are looking for things. General Stonewall Jackson, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Domino's Pizza, Britney Spears, Restaurants of Myrtle Beach, Samuel L. Jackson, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Austin Powers sounds, Transformers desktop theme, History of Pennsylvania

Another classic from long-time guest nostalgist, Allison Hennessey

Hey Kev,

I remember this time at DCF when Doug Brunson was introducing himself to Trudi's boyfriend, Lee, and when he mentioned that he was from California, you exclaimed, "You make so much more sense to me now, Doug!" and we all laughed hysterically. And moments later, you said, "I feel like I know you 100% better."

Good times.

I remember this time that the Tigers defeated the #1 team in the country (in basketball!)

rare times

I remember this time that I was watching a movie with Joe and Nicole, and Joe left the room for a minute, only to come back to find that I had taken his seat on the futon beside Nicole and had my arm around her. "You had your chance," I told him.

rare times

Good ol' Joe and Nicole, always playing along. Hey I remember this time that Cliver and I were walking from our room talking about the signs of the End Times (apocalypse) and high above in her room Jenni Krider wisked open the blinds fast and furious, and I gasped and Cliver said "That startled me!"

good times

I remember this time we played a game called "Psychiatrist" with the girls (ladies) of 32G. No really, it was a game.

good times

Possible entry on Laurie Gambrell's Nostalgia Page, if she had one. (Proposed by John Cliver)

I remember this time that I saw Kevin Eudy at the library and said hello to him. The encounter could not have lasted more than 4 seconds, but during that time I couldn't help but notice that Kevin was checking out two books: One was a book that had to do with acting - a book of monologues and dialogs - so from this I deduced that he must be taking an acting class. The second was The Importance of Being Earnest, which I took particular note of since many people had been to see that play recently.

Those were good times

I remember this time on Jen's birthday that there was a Choral Pops Concert, and while TIGEROAR was on stage (of which Cameron was now a part (of TIGEROAR, not the stage)) Gary Kirby went up to the microphone for about the 10th time and called Jen and Trudi up (and down, respectively) from the audience, and Cameron put the big, orange cowboy hat he was wearing on Jen, and then the group sang "Happy Birthday" to them both. I don't remember if they harmonized and stuff. Jen later commented that the only thing she said up there was to Trudi when she said, "I have a hat." (Someone put a hat on Trudi, too.)

good times

I remember this time on Trudi's birthday that a bunch of us went over to Jen and Trudi's room (in our pajamas) for a birthday kidnapping. We blindfolded them and took them to Dunkin' Donuts in Anderson. Let's do roll call: It was me, Cliver, Cameron, Allison, Jenni Krider, Christina, Patty, Laurie, Jenny (Patty and Laurie's roommate), Becky, Katie, Shannon, Jared (Shannon's new fiance), Danny, Rich Ramsey, Jess, Rachel, and of course Jen and Trudi. And some guy took pictures of us at Dunkin' Donuts. (We asked him to.)

good times thems was

I remember this time that David McMahan and I saw Shannon and this guy (whom I knew was Shannon's boyfriend. But I had never actually met him, so I asked Shannon "Aren't you going to introduce us?" And she said, "I thought you already met Jared ... this is my ... well, now fiance, Jared! We just got engaged." I couldn't tell if she meant "JUST," as in within the past week or two, or as in "JUST," as in 20 minutes ago. Well I later found out that she meant she JUST GOT ENGAGED. You do the math.) Then we saw them again at the post office

good times

Meet your Match

I remember this time Cliver and I matched the roles that each of us played in our room, to the roles of the guys in Lightsey 33F. Then I did it for 4 other rooms, and the next day we played a game where Allison, Becky, Jess, Cameron, Billy and Bonnie tried to guess what the matches were. Then Cliver and I came up with 3 more, but on the last two we had to guess what everybody else had chosen.

Here are the results

  Lightsey 33F Lightsey 33H Lightsey 33C Calhoun Courts N9C Lightsey 62D Lightsey 32G Calhoun Courts S2F Lightsey 43D
Harvey Blumenstein Cameron Thorstad Brendan Schmelter Allison Hennessey Peggy Nance David McMahan Katie Madding Beth Light Christina Pulas
John Cliver Darren Lord Dave Schubert Rachel Bedenbaugh Heather Koestline Craig Stevens Shannon Cooke Adair Mullis Jen Helm
Kevin Eudy Iowa Hausman Kyle Brown Jess Bednarcik Valerie Forth Steven Pautz Becky Winsor Mandy Hammon Trudi Craigie
Billy Schoon Joe Slack Chris Lack Bonnie Apgar Nicole Eastham Chris Preisig Claire Guy Michelle Bradley Jenni Krider

Then we played a similar game with a can opener, a basting brush, a pizza cutter, and an egg beater, matching each to a person in each room.

I remember this time that I was supposed to go on the radio at 7:00 a.m., but the door was locked and I couldn't get in until 8:15, and Cliver had set an alarm to wake up to me on the radio at 7:30, but since there was just dead air at that time, he missed his first class

good times

I remember this time we were watching Jeopardy and Bonnie knew all the answers

good times

I remember this time that a bunch of us went to Miabi's (sp?) and our chef said it was his first night, and Katie Madding believed him until the other chef said the same thing, and they served soup with mushrooms and salad with ginger and everything else with lots of class, and rice. We got out of there at about 11:30 at night

good times

I remember this time we were playing a game called "Imagine if," and everybody thought that the piece of furniture most like Patty was a beanbag chair (except for Patty,) and then everybody thought that the cartoon character most like Patty was Tweetie Bird (except for Patty.)

good times

I remember this time that I told Shannon Cooke that if I had to choose out of everyone I knew, who reminded me the most of a witch, I would choose her. Then she seemed really surprised and unflattered, and David McMahan acted like I had just put my foot in my mouth, but I felt like I had expressed exactly what I set out to express.

I remember this time that Sage Bigger was in my Art 103 class, and she usually sat beside me and we would talk about whatnot, or not talk at all. And every other day, Sage would put the same Sarah McLaughlin tape into the cheap tape player that was in the room (which got particularly old, since the class only met every other day.) And I would complain but Sage wouldn't take me seriously, and would just sing along. You can't argue with her really when she's singing, because she sings so well, and she used to sing for Crusade but now she's graduating. I'm sure gonna miss her and that funny picture of a cow she once drew, which I think I have.

I remember this time I autographed broken drum heads for Cliver and Heather Koestline, and Cliver put them both on his wall, and then one day Heather's fell, and I didn't bother to put it back up since they didn't go out any more. I reclaimed my adhesive from the wall, and I won't say that it reminded me a lot of taking down the Christmas tree, but I will say that Harvey is taking down the Christmas tree tomorrow.

I remember this time that I came to my room in McCabe and saw a message from Dave: "Gone to Shannon and Katie's (room # i don't remember) and so I walked over to Lightsey Bridge because they were having a Halloween Party. We watched Urban Legends. Then the phone rang and Shannon answered it, handed it to me and said "It's your mom." This is particularly surprising when you consider that I was almost never at Shannon and Katie's, that my mom couldn't have their number because even my number was probably stored on the back of some envelope in a pile of newspapers, and whats more I had never told my mom I knew girls named Shannon Cooke and Katie Madding. Then this big, elaborate story unfolded of how my mom tracked me down by calling everyone she and my sister could find on my website, including Bonnie Apgar and Cameron Thorstad (who weren't there), Scott Galbraith, and Louie Decena, who played the pivotal role. All this because my brother was in Clemson for some reason and had locked his keys out of his car, and I had extras, in McCabe.

complicated times to explain

If you ever wonder why all the memories center around me, it's because I have to be there to remember

I remember this time that Joe and I played trivial pursuit again Cliver and Iowa. And Joe and I mopped the floor with Cliver and Iowa, and then they came back and mopped the flloor with us to a lesser extent (maybe they just cleaned the counter) but then Joe and I came back and won that game. And of course the other team explains it by saying that we got all easy questions. I don't think it makes much difference one way or the other, but I do remember that the game-winning answer was Florence Nightingale. And Cliver and I played sound effects for right or wrong answers on the keyboard.

goot times (i misspelled that but I think its funny now)

I remember this time that there was a Crusade football game in which the teams were vaguely defined as "Seniors, and others" (about 12 people) and "Juniors, Sophomores, and others" (about 52 people.) And of course the latter team won because they had so many people, and even were able to play offense, defense, and special teams, and had coaching staff and trainers and managers, while our team (on which I only played for about 20 minutes) just operated on an odd (or even) man out sort of thing. And also there were all these former high school players who showed up just to play football, whom we will never, ever see again, and this is why I didn't stand a chance.

good times

I remember this time that some of us watched Maverick and Shannon's, but Cameron and Jen played cribbage

good times

I remember this time that I went to the Crusade Christmas party and I wore Cliver's blue blazer and there was a fireplace and somebody got a picture of Daniel Richeson as a gift

good times

I remember this time that I went to a women's basketball game and a guy with a pen pressured me into shooting in the halftime contest even though I didn't want to. And then I missed the layup and missed the free throw and missed the three-point shot and then missed the half-court shot. It's things like that that you just want to forget. Put on your webpage, and forget.

Remember that time that I got my absentee ballot on the 9th of November when the election for president was on the 7th and it was sent three weeks prior to the date of the election? If only it had gotten here in time...my vote would have put one of the candidates over the top and there would be no need for all this silly recounting...Good times

I remember this time I went trick-or-treating at President Barker's but he was out of candy

good times

I remember this time that Bonnie cooked us some cupcakes

good times

I remember this time that we had some visitors at our apartment and I suggested that we all take a vote to see who to "vote off the island," following the Survivor craze. Well most people voted for me since I came up with the idea, so I pretended to leave, but I really just walked around Lightsey for a while

good times

I remember this time (possibly later that night) that there were about 15,000,000,000 people in our apartment, and I was not in the mood to deal with it so I left, but then when I came back they were still there, and Cliver and Heather Koestline were separate from the rest of the group playing guitar, and I could tell there were doin's a transpirin' between them but I didn't comment on it

Remember that time Christie and Cameron switched the bathroom signs in the Hendrix Center? I remember hearing that one of the people that was confused was that Rachel Bedenbaugh girl. She actually walked into the Men's restroom. Good times

I remember this time I went camping with CUD and it rained that night (for the first time in about a month and a half) and I ate 3 hamburgers and 2 hot dogs, I ain't proud of it but thems the facts.

good times

I remember this time I traveled to Florida State and we played Florida State in football and at one point we were down only 10-7, but then 7 was all the points we scored, and in the fourth quarter they finally put in #7 Willie Simmons after Danztler was unable to do much, but by then it was too late, and we allowed about 707 yards of total offense, so 7 was the magic number of the night.

good times

I remember this time Crusade cooked a pig and a bunch of people gathered to eat it and other things, and then we sang about 25 praise songs, I believe it was called "Pig 'n Praise." And we found a little baby gourd and Adair gave it to me and I was happy, and then she said "There is joy in the gourd" and we both had a good laugh.

I remember this one time late at night that Joe Slack and I went to Waffle House in his roommate's jeep, even though I didn't think he got along that well with his roommate at the time. It was the first time I had ever ridden in a jeep, and the first time I had ever been to Waffle House, so I had to order a waffle. I also ordered 2 fried eggs and sausage but I got 2 scrambled eggs and bacon. I didn't say anything but then the waitress noticed so she brought me the 2 fried eggs and I ate those too. And Joe ordered an omelete and 2 or 3 servings of hashbrowns. It set him back a good $8.00 or so. This memory may or may not already be on the page somewhere

I remember this one time that my roommate Chris and I were reading these really funny and witty nostalgic memories from Kevin and his friends. We wanted to submit something, but since we've never done anything funny or exciting in either of our lives, we just laughed at everyone else. Good times.

I remember this time that Cliver apparently invited a bunch of girls to use our kitchen, then they came and he left, so it was just me and them, and I didn't know them. They're here now and I think their names are Jennifer, Libby, and Michelle. They're making hamburger helper.

good times

I remember this time there was a football game and we won by 7 and we trailed only once but everybody was mad
