These entries written my Junior year

Hey I remember this time there was a percussion ensemble concert and a guy dropped some pies

good times

Hey I remember dying eggs for J.B.'s birthday although it was not Easter, and there were a bunch of girls and then more girls came and then we played some trivial pursuit but never finished it

good times

Hey I remember this time it was my birthday, but not quite my birthday, and David had a bunch of people over such as Trudi and John Cliver and Joe and Nicole and Daniel Ott and although there were others, those were the first and last, and there was a subway platter and jazz music and pop (ok it was rootbeer) and sparkling grape juice. Well I was touched and flattered (although I had just come out of the shower) and it was nice to feel loved

Thanks Dave

I remember this time that Joe called me "Kevin" it was when we were playing frisbee golf on May 1, 2000 and were on the last "hole" that's like the second "hole" in that it goes between the large buildings, or perhaps we were in fact on the second hole

rare times

HarpyAl: hey kevin, remember that time i sent you a survey on an email and you responded with exhaustive answers that were far above and beyond what i asked for or expected? good times.
Eudy112: yeahhhh

Hey I remember this time we went to Krispy Kreme and watched the donuts being made for about 20 minutes .... and there were a bunch of deformed donuts, and then we thought they had stopped making donuts but then more came and we all cheered

good times them was

Hey I remember this time that David told me about an incident that happened at "Darren's" camping trip ... in which everyone stayed up all night and then went to Krispy Kreme, and even CAMERON was giddy and Joe was super-duper giddy and the bottom fell out of a coffee cup and they all laughed

...it reminds me of the "Capital City" song from The Simpsons which says "It's the kind of place that makes a bum feel like a king, and a king feel like some kind of nutty-cuckoo super king"

good times

I remember this time that there was something called Clemstock 2000 which had 8 acapella groups, and the event lasted no less than 6 hours (not really) and this girl got engaged and I bought a CD

I remember this time after we played at James Barker's presidential inauguration that I destroyed a set of chimes worth a couple thousand dollars, and then the concert band had to use the crappy set of chimes that night at their concert

not so good times

Open for Business
Submitted by Cameron Thorstad

Remember that time the Hendrix center finally opened and they weren't completely ready and they didn't even have plaques on the bathroom doors to indicate Gentlemen's and Ladies' restrooms they just had paper printed out signs, and Christie Owen and Cameron switched the signs to confuse anyone else who had to excrete human waste products? Good times.

Submitted by Allison Hennessey

I remember this time that I tried to convince you, Dave, and Cameron that Cameron was not wearing an orange hat in a black and white yearbook photo of him.

Jen's Scotland Memories

Well then remember that time when i was in the Scottish highlands and I got to see real live highland "haidy coos" (trans. hairy cows)--they were cute!

i saw a baby one from the train, and i think he winked at me :)

Hey do you also remember that time when i discoverd that they paint their sheep here with different colored "sheep paint" to tell them apart from their neighbor's flock.

oh wait...Laura just informed me that they have specific letters and numbers.....but all i recall seeing is blue or red or orange blotches.

kinda pretty i thought

Awwwwww yeah dog (not how I usually talk) it's

Big Break 2000 Memories!

I remember this time that Allison saw us eating at Chik-Fil-A (because of my drumline shirt)

good times (may be omitted from the remainder of these)

I remember this time that Cliver did the so-called "Wannabe" song, and although nobody knew where he got it from, or what the words were other than "wannabe," he still definitely did the song

I remember this time the emcee said that "Off the hook" was an expression we kids use when something is cool, and although I had never heard anyone use the phrase in that context, I started right then.

O'Doyle Rules!

I remember Trudi bringing a cribbage board (paddle) and I was impressed because few people know how to play cribbage, so we played and I beat her and thus am undefeated at cribbage (by humans)

I remember meeting a bunch of girls, and I also met several guys too (but I have to think harder to remember that)

I remember this time my room (Darren, Chris Preisig, Craig, John Clark, Brendan and I) cooked tacos for a girls' room, and as soon as they left, we all yelled "We have leftovers!"

I remember this time some of us went to a human maze, and although I got mad, it was still good times before and after I got mad, especially when Joe re-entered the maze to get Nicole and bring her out (which only took about 5 minutes)

I remember this time I witnessed doin's a-transpirin' or at least I think I did, which I will not comment on but may comment on later ...

I remember ...... cheeeeeeeeeeeesecaaaaaaaaake ...... aggggggggllllllllhhhhh (imagine homer drooling) ohhhhhhh baby

I remember at the end of the week there were about 50 hot dogs left from the cookout, and Cliver cut open a water jug, filled it with ice and hot dogs, and took them home (rode with them under his legs) and then drained all the hot dog juice when we got back

I remember on the way to Panama City, I rode with Cameron, and our car had some cookies, of which the other cars in our caravan were envious. So Kariss's car put a sign in their window asking for a cookie, so I leaned out the window and handed it to Cindy, who promptly threw it back at the car. I made a sign that said "No cookies for you!" and she came back with "Cookie Nazi!" and we had some friendly banter going back and forth with the signs in the cars.

I remember we were preparing to cook for the guys, so Catherine Davis preheated the oven for the chicken. She neglected to first look in the oven, which contained some dirty pans from when Trudi and Kari cooked a couple of nights before. The oven made a horrible stink, but Keith Hawkins came into our room and asked what was cooking, since he thought it smelled so good. Our oven continued to give us problems throughout the evening, not cooking the chicken fast enough, and the huge pan we baked the hashbrown casserole in split halfway through the cooking. Good times.

I remember how we entertained the guys through all of this disaster by making bead necklaces.

I remember the night the guys (Curt Berg, Chris Alley, Keith, Jason Smith, and Super Dave) cooked tacos for us and when they ran out of margarita and daquiri mix, they ended up making their own drink out of milk, lemonade mix, salt and sugar. They named it the Sweet and Sour Salty Surprise. I didn't try it, but it supposedly made you feel as if your face was getting sucked inside out. Good times.

I also remember that they cheated us out of our dessert that night--ice cream sandwiches--so we made them give them to us the next day.

I remember when the entire Clemson campus went out to dinner at Breakers, a really nice restaurant, and danced on the dance floor, doing things like the Electric Slide, which really didn't fit the mood of such a nice restaurant.

I remember how I started getting sick Wednesday night and just got worse and worse so that during the cookout I quarantined myself in my room (the cookout was at my apartment, for those of you who don't remember/know) and then sat on Cameron's balcony wrapped up in a blanket during the sharing time. Not so good times.

Remember that time we went to Big Break and that MC guy, Robert Green did that dance with the fingers and the funky mouth? Good times.

Remember when we went to Panama City and DIDN'T see a bunch of girls wearing barely any clothing? Me Neither.

Remember when we sat next to each other at the meetings and we were clapping and being silly and people looked at us? Thems were the days.

Submitted by Cameron Thorstad

Remember that time Clemson's CCC praise band led worship at The Big Break? God times.

Remember that time Clemson had the largest group attending The Big Break ever? Good times.

Remember that time several of us brought our tennis rackets down to The Big Break so as we could get in some good games of tennis because the tennis courts were right out our front (or back) doors? Good times.

Remember that time when we didn't play tennis? Crimeny Crud!!!

Remember that time when Kev and Cliver got together and entertained themselves and each other for hours on end with little more than random silliness? Good times.

Remember that time that Eli (Cameron's car) had a slow leak on his right rear tire which is now flat...and went from sounding like a first tenor to sounding like a bass when accelerating all in the same trip? Not so good times...anyone know a good, cheap, honest mechanic?

Submitted by John Cliver

[I remember] this time that we were at big break we put a whole bunch of country time lemonade mix in the blender (way more than was reccomended) with ice and water and made a super sour potion that kept our eyes bulging and the good times rolling

later brenden tried to recreate the "power punch" and woke up darren... then i fell asleep in a chair

Sumitted by Jenni Krider

it was DeFiNiTeLy a hilarious experience to watch you arrange artistic photgraphs around the mirrors lining our walls (in our panama city beach resort room..) the best was when chad offered his assistance by using the phone as a prop in our picture while me and rachel and cliver were reflections above his head. (so i guess this makes no sense if you dont know what the picture looks like. but it was hilarious anyways!) i mean. dont forget flinging the apple juice down the counter either.. and cliver slurping it up with his mouth straight from the counter but me only being disgusted when he wiped his face with the same napkin he used to clean the spill.

I remember this time that I wanted to share an anecdote with Bonnie about meeting two girls on the fifth floor of Holmes named Jessica and Heidi -- fitting, since we both knew a DIFFERENT Jessica and Heidi who lived there the year before, a couple doors down. I thought I had one up on Bonnie and that she would appreciate me imparting this knowledge. However no sooner had the words left my mouth did I find out that Bonnie not only already knew this, but also knew everything else about the girls up to and including their social security numbers and the names of their pets.

I also remember another story involving Bonnie in which Billy took Bonnie to "the point" at Columbia International University (SEE BLACK BOX BELOW (far below) FOR SIGNIFICANCE) but this wasn't when they got engaged

And also I remember this time that I just wanted to add one nostalgia but then ended up reading a bunch of others, so that I could smile at things I myself had typed

good times

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I remember this time that I spilled a Ramen noodle seasoning pack on my keyboard, and ended up taking off all the keys to clean it (meanwhile, I had a paper to type....)

good times.

Hey I remember this time that it snowed and there was some good times such as sledding and snowball fights ... and although I did not partake in these, or any other activity that involved the snow really other than looking at it and walking through it, I still had good times doing other things (such as playing Trivial Pursuit) while there was snow on the ground.

GOOD times.

I remember this time that it was a gorgeous day by most any standard and I was inside typing up nostalgias

good times

Hey I remember this time that Nicole (Joe's girlfriend) was getting an ice cream cone, but accidentally picked up two cones ... so, she offered one to a guy there getting ice cream (who declined, and proceeded to get his own cone.) WELL not knowing what to do next, Nicole reluctantly puts the cone back and then this girl (who was with the guy) said "See, that's what I'm afraid of when I get ice cream."

good times (within earshot of other people)

I remember this time that Cliver did something funny

good times

I remember this time that T.L. Berry was on the Daily Show, but I missed it

good times

Brief guest nostalgia by David McMahan

Hey Kevin,

Remember how everyone used to read and contribute to your Nostalgia page? Man, those were the days!

Guest nostalgia by JOSH SHIFLET! (a bit late)

Hey Kevin,

Remember that time that you played in the band in the Clemson-Carolina game and then stayed behind to stay with me for the weekend. Yep. Those were the times. Good tiimes.

I remember this time that some of us were eating dinner at Kevin Ong's house, and Darren put a large piece of ginger in his mouth thinking it was chicken.

good times (not for Darren)

Rm core: Hey you remember that time I was really sick, it hurt to move, and it was one of the very few times that I went to bed before you did?
Eudy112: somewhat yes
Rm core: Well, I'm gettin there again
Eudy112: d'oh
Rm core: that's not cool is it

I remember this time that some of us went to a women's basketball game (my first) v. N.C. State and I discovered that Joe has no problem with yelling at women. And also the towel girl made a $7,000 putt at halftime (though she didn't really get $7,000 dollars) and then I saw the towel girl walking around campus the next day, even though she only looked 11

good times.

I remember this time I told Katie Madding that she ruined Christmas, but she didn't really ruin Christmas, I was just joking. Good times.

I remember this time that Jenni French taught public speaking - I didn't know what section but I just happened to get into her class.

good times.

I remember this time that we watched "Saving Private Ryan" and the girls left early, but they missed out on a real treat because then Darren played a TIGEROAR cd (unreleased!) but Carrie was there

good times. Hey I remember this time that my computer crashed and it wasn't funny because I lost data and it interrupted conversations but most of all wasted time.

God bless America and Windows 98, its cartilaginous backbone.

McMemories

Guest nostalgia by Allison Hennessey!

Remember the first Crusade meeting of 2000 where one of the greeters had written "McDave" on Dave McMahan's name tag, and when I came up to talk to you, Dave, and Daniel Ott, you said, "Hey Allison, did you hear the manager's special? Only $2.99 for the McDave!" and I fell on the floor laughing, and Catherine Davis thought it was funny too, but not worth falling on the floor for, and then we made numerous subsequent McDonald's and Super Size jokes? Good times.

Hey I remember this time that I added the last commentary of the millenium (pseudo-millenium?) and it was about the time that 22 of us went out to eat in Greenville at a Japanese steakhouse, and it was Jen's going-away party since she was going to Scotland .... and the chefs were funny and the food was good and it all went to prove that jokes involving chopsticks never, and I mean never, get old.

Good times.

Hey remember that time there was a program called "Eudora" and it was ridiculously slow even on campus?

Good times. Hey, remember that time we were all going to dress up to go to Schilleter but then had to go to Harcombe instead? Good times.

Hey I remember this time that I did an assignment and the teacher did not take it up.

Waste of times.

Hey I remember this time that the teacher took up an assignment I did not do...

d'oh!

Yet another guest nostalgia by David McMahan!

Hey! Remember that time when I disappeared for an entire week to do printing work and you and Jean came to Godfrey at some late hour to make sure I was still alive? Those were the days!

Yet another guest nostalgia by Allison Hennessey!

I remember that time we watched the Underclassmen vs. Upperclassmen football game, and when they made a touchdown, we sang Tiger Rag, but we sang it in parts--Mandy sang the low brass, I sang the woodwinds, and you sang the drum part. Good times.

I remember that time (at the same event) when we discussed how cruel it would be to name a child Eudy, not to the detriment of your own surname, of course.

I remember at the Christmas party when Joe, J.B., and Chip bid outrageously high ($50) for a dessert box, just so Joe could outbid his roommates. Good times.

Hey I remember this time I went to see Josh Shiflet at his school, Columbia International University and saw many interesting things and met many interesting people. They kept everything unlocked, such as the kitchen and the chapel and a place with a bunch of bread (not the kitchen) and all sorts of classrooms and choir rooms with expensive equipment (and yet you could not get free refills on ice cream)

And there was some girl Josh called Linda or Susan but her name was Sarah and another girl who hated the messages Josh left on her machine but missed the fact he hadn't done it in a while, and some guy who had all kinds of crazy goals yet acted really apathetic who may or may not have been named Michael

Oh and there was a place called "the point" where you would take a girl to pop the question, it was nice you could see the prison from there

Guest nostalgia by Allison Hennessey!

Remember that time someone copied and pasted your "Dr. Hosler Catch Phrase" page on to an email and forwarded to the entire band?  Good times.

Remember all the times that Darren asks Joe, "Who's your daddy?"  and Joe always answers, "Cameron,"  and so Darren asks, "Well then who's your mama?" and Joe answers, "Allison."  Odd how these things come about.  Weird times.

Hey I remember this time that Clemson beat Duke 58-7, thems was the days

I also remember this time that Duke beat Clemson, I don't remember the score but I'm going to say it was 27-24, don't quote me kids because I'm not going to correct that if its wrong

good times

I remember this time that Tom Manley had a radio show on WSBF

good times

I remember this time that David had a radio show and had to get up at about 3:00 A.M. because that was his time slot

Hey I remember this time there was a Christmas party and Darren, Cliver, Cameron and I went in suits (That was Christmas Party '98, this years hasn't happened yet and who knows what hilarity may ensue??) Check Bonnie's page for details on this memory

good times

Okay I looked and I can't find the score listed anywhere, although I CAN find EVERY other score from that season

Guest nostalgias by Cameron Thorstad!!!!!

Remember that time that Cameron said "Shhhhhhh....did you hear that?" and then when it was quiet he farted really loudly...twice?  Good times.

Remember that time Jen had some thought in her head that made sense but when she put it to words no one knew what she meant?  Good times

Remember when some big "kids" went to the park and played on the equipment and broke some of it?  Good times.

Remember that time the Maddings left us while camping and we got lost within five minutes?   Good times
Remember that time we were discussing the difference between "pumpkin" and "punkin" and it tried to sound really deep?   Good times

Remember that time when Jen wanted to research backpacks and she got the help she needed...but not from the person that she wanted and he was really scary, and freaky and very helpful with "adjusting" the backpack to fit her, and very eager to give his business card and phone number for further "help" and Jess and Cameron were afraid to leave her alone with him?   Good times

Remember that time that Jen and Becky entertained themselves for hours on end in the car in the middle of rush hour traffic and pretended to be running really fast down the highway?  Good times

Remember that time when Cameron made friends with a trucker in the middle of rush hour traffic?  And he couldn't hear a word the guy said, but he still carried on a conversation with him.  And Cameron was trying to listen to "Songs in the Key of Springfield" but couldn't cause of the nice old trucker.   Good times

Remember that time that Jen and Kev were trying to figure out what the tarp cover in the back of Jess' George, with the ropes over it, looked like?  And they thought that it was a pool with swimming lanes, a bugs abdomen, canned ham, and various other things.  Good times

Another guest nostalgia by David McMahan

Hey! Remember that time that Rachel joined you, me, and Darren for lunch, and she couldn't say enough about the University's wise decision to make her take Calculus? You know, she's right. Knowing how to integrate a Sine curve will be incredibly useful when she's helping those sick animals someday.

Fall Retreat '99 Memories!

I remember how there was lots of food and it was good

good times

I remember this time that John Cliver did something funny and we all lauged at him

good times

I remember I was asleep and then Jean showed up from the RUF retreat and stayed a little while and left (nobody saw her but me (no lie she said she jumped out of the woods where folks were watching an ultimate game and it was surreal like nobody saw her))

good times

I remember this time that I found Joe, one other guy, and about 9 girls playing some silly game at a table. So I joined them. It was a clap clap snap snap call two numbers kind of game. Joe was definitely the center of attention. Let's face it: how can any other guy besides Joe be the center of attention by clap clapping, snap snapping and calling two numbers? Anyway I played that for a good hour and then went to see the end of The Prince of Egypt

good times

I remember this time that I got hurt playing capture the flag. Chris Lack fell down on the road in front of me, and I tried to jump over him but it didn't work. The important question I suppose is, "Did I capture the flag?" No, I did not.

good times

But Ashley Dorn, unregistered nurse, was there to tend to my wounds, thank goodness somebody knew what they were doing

good times

I remember how as we were leaving, Barry brought out all the leftover food. Salad dressing, mayonaisse, enormous bags full of lunch meat, pancakes, waffles, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, broccolli ... some of it was such odd stuff in such huge quantities that you wouldn't expect college students to have any use for it. But boy, they took it. David and I ended up with about 5 pounds of shredded cheese.

I remember David's car overheating on the way back. He pulled over and we sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for it to cool down, then 3 cars of Crusade folk stopped by. Betsy Morgan had the hookup with AAA so she called a wrecker. Bye bye, rollerskate. So then we rode home with Darren (and Allison) but not before Darren entertained us on the side of the highway with his guitar playing

good times!

I remember this time that Dave and I saw Rachel and Dori (coming back from the Crusade decades dance) and since they were dressed up so oddly we didn't recognize them and then they started yelling "Heeeeyy!" and I thought "Oh my gosh, these two girls are soooooo drunk" and it was pretty scary for a few seconds there.

good times?

I remember this time that Tom accidentally printed out an ENTIRE BOOK on one of the lab printers (almost 200 pages), and there was no way to stop it, and everybody else was pretty ticked off.

those were the days!

I remember this time that John Clark, Craig Stevens, and Chris van Dyjk were all in the band, but I never saw any of them at practice or any of the games.

good times

I remember this time that something had happened people were like "Don't you know (such and such)" and I was like "No, I do not know" and they were like "How could you not know?" and I was mad because everybody knew but me

not so good times.

I remember this time that David was working at the help desk, and I took him cookies, and then on the way back I joined Joe and the gang in a game of frisbee golf for a little while, and I realized that there were random people playing with them whom they had picked up somewhere, and then one of the girls showed up with Joe when we played the next night and I realized she was not random, but still didn't understand how she got involved. But hey that's Joe Slack for you

good times.

I remember this time that I was in Lisa Coward's biology lab

good times

I remember this time that Lisa Coward was in my biology lab

good times

I remember this time that David was in my computer science class, which was kind of unusual because people I know aren't usually in my classes (except that time that Joe was in my Spanish class and Jess was in my English class and Allison was in my music class and other people I know were in various other classes I have taken)

good times.

I remember this time that Jess, Cameron, Dave Schubert, Bonnie, Billy, Darren, Lisa, Shannon, Chris Lack, Catherine Davis, Jen Helm, Allison, Becky, Matt (whom I didn't know) and I went tubing and it took a long time and there was a snake (which wasn't too fun) but the friends were good and the water was cool

"I remember a time when a lot of friends I know went on a tubing adventure without me and not even inviting me. You might remember that I wasn't there. Just think of how useful I would of been against the snake. Well it's your loss and not mine."

-- Scott Galbraith

Guest nostalgia by David McMahan

Hey Kevin...

Remember that time we went to Computer Science lecture and the professor was oblivious to the start and ending times of the class. Then he randomly discussed information in manner that made it SOUND simple but was oblivious to fact that he was talking about really complicated stuff. Wait, maybe he's just oblivious in general.

Good Times.

Do you also remember how we went to Schilletter to eat after class, and Darren was there also, and we talked about how much better the food is than Harcombe (along with other random discussions that can only be had with Darren).

More Good Times.

I remember this time that Tom and Dave ordered a pizza, and Tom went to pick it up to save on the delivery charge, but Tom doesn't have a car, just a moped with a basket on the back, so I gave him duct tape and he used that to secure the pizza to the basket, and he said some girls looked at him funny, but they were probably rich and wouldn't understand why some of us have to duct tape pizzas to mopeds

good times

I remember this time that Allison, Bonnie, and Jess had an elusive 4th roommate named "Sarah," whom none of us saw, not even their neighbors.

good times.

I remember this time that everybody got engaged except for the people who didn't

good times

I remember this time that I accidentally hit the "e" and typed "died" when I was trying to type "didn't" but it made the previous entry a little more morbid so I changed it

good times.

Fashionably Late
Another guest nostalgia by John Cliver

remember that time that we all dressed up to go to HaRCOMb before the christmas party and darren didn't realize that i was wearing jeans with my coat until i stood up and we then decided to stay dressed up for the party but i didn't have any pants for some reason and had to borrow yours and somehow in the exchange, my belt was left on your roomates side of the room and you thought it was his but it didn't matter because you got it back to me way before i got your pants back to you.

that makes me smile

i also remember this time (not now) where i wrote a bunch of things about myself for Kevin's nostalgia page (in the feeble attempt to make myself look funny) but kevin printed them anyway because he's such a nice guy.

Welcome Back

Remember that time that Crusade met on Wednesday night and I called it the first meeting, but people told me it wasn't the first meeting, that we had met last night, and accused me of not coming, which I didn't, but it wasn't my fault, I was at band practice

good times.

I remember this time that I was going to eat in Harcombe but, you know ... freshmen.

good times.

Remember that time you bought your books and it cost a lot, and you told everybody else, like theirs didn't cost a lot too?

good times.

Remember that time you got back to school and saw everybody, and thought "my they've really changed," but they really hadn't changed that much, it was just their hair or something?

good times.
